Designed by Nvidia, the drive PX2 is a powerful computer based on ARM designed for autonomous vehicles. The unit can process in real time the flow of video cameras and laser imaging used for autonomous driving. With this supercomputer, Nvidia made a splash in automotive electronics. The manufacturer Volvo has already indicated that it will use Nvidia’s embedded solution on a hundred XC90 SUV to test.
Nvidia is already very known in the world of IT and risk to prevail in the car with this solution.
This system is proof that autonomous vehicles will really exist. The technology is, it only remains to exploit !!
